My Family Memoir

The non-fiction story “7 Generational Choices & Outcomes”, the author Bronwyn Mayo discusses the power of how choices throughout her lifetime changed her journey, but also those of future generations. Her personal story mirrors the struggles of so many young women growing up during the 1950’s and 1960’s and sadly continuing today. Bronwyn explores her past and present generations to discover the answer to “How did I get here?”

Bronwyn made choices to survive, but the bitter divorce negatively impacted her daughter’s life. The hardest lessons were watching her daughter’s choices and pain over the years. Due to her experience and dedication to teen issues, a local non-profit offered Bronwyn a job working with at-risk teens. It was a great fit, as her students listened to her knowledge because she had lived it, and genuinely cared. However, she had a broken heart, because the one person she really wanted to help was her daughter and she often had no idea if her
daughter was dead or alive.
